Many people dream of owning a boat. They work hard, save their money and are one day finally able to make that dream come true. With neglect and improper care, however, that dream can quickly become a nightmare.

Once you’ve satisfied the dream of owning a boat, why risk your happiness and hard-earned dollars by leaving its future to chance? Boats are very expensive, and you can’t just go out and buy a new one every few months.

That’s why it’s so important to take every precaution to ensure a long life for your boat. Provide the best maintenance today, and give it ongoing protection against all of nature’s elements.

A custom boat cover may be the perfect solution for protection today, and in the future. Your boat is built to be in the water, but that doesn’t mean it can withstand daily exposure to rain, snow, ice or even direct sunlight. Custom boat covers provide all-season protection from the elements.

Many boat manufacturers and boat accessory retailers offer custom boat covers. While not custom-made specifically for you, there are particular boat covers available for many popular boat models. You can check with your marina or boat retailer to see if a custom cover is available for the model of boat you own.

A custom boat cover is designed to protect more than the hull of the boat. It will cover the motor, masts and accessories as well. To ensure a perfect fit, you may need to have the cover tailored specifically for your boat. It’s the best way to guarantee a snug fit and the highest level of protection.

There are boat covers available in a variety of materials. Polyester, canvas, nylon and waver polyester are all good options, providing dependable protection and endurance. Make sure that the cover you choose is flexible, waterproof and dustproof.

The material must provide ample air circulation, because any moisture that accumulates under the cover can quickly turn into rust or mildew, causing irreparable damage. The surfaces of your boat need to “breathe”, even while covered. Consider a custom boat cover made of a 50/50 polyester blend. This light, waterproof fabric provides air circulation while blocking the sun’s harmful UV rays.

Extra precautions must be taken, even after choosing the best custom boat cover made of the highest-quality material. Once your boat is covered, you’ll need to seal the seams and close any gaps using waterproof tape. Areas commonly affected by rot or rust need extra attention. Taping the seams of the cover and closing any gaps will provide the added protection essential to your boat’s long and happy life.

You’ve worked hard for your new boat, so don’t toss that investment out to sea. Spending a little more on a custom boat cover will keep your craft ship-shape for years to come.

Most anglers who buy baits use them with blind faith because they really do not appreciate what actually happens in the fish that induces them to take a bait into their mouths and in doing so get themselves hooked! Imagine the power of being able to harness this knowledge where applicable. How much do think this advantage over the fish and over other anglers will multiply your catches?

Most anglers use readymade carp baits because they have become conditioned to because of easy availability, but confidence form slick advertising and advertorials etc are most often the bait that hooks such anglers and certainly not first-hand experience. Often the catches on new baits are made by the best, sharpest and most aware anglers using the edge of a new bait, and most anglers over-look this. If you have not used a bait before and not only do not know what it is made with nor how it works in detail, then my friend, you are fishing on blind faith not confidence.

Now you might wonder what all this confidence stuff has to do with actually knowing something useful about vital carp senses beyond appreciating that they like a bit of protein or a maybe have a flavour preference now and again. In terms of flavours, not all are the same! If I suggested that chilli powder can help your bait be detected from greater range by senses involving various specialised receptor cells and specialised canal pits along the lateral line (and in the actual skin of the fish,) this might be new to many.

Many secrets are hidden from our senses but uncovered very easily by a little messing about with baits and some very elementary science, for instance, many carp bait substances change when in water into different ones to those we experience as humans in air… Garlic releases that pungent smell when broken in air and we are all familiar with similar compounds from onions and chives for example. But the smells from garlic we associate with its success are not strictly accurate, as certain of the key chemicals do not get produced in water the same as in air, and this might suggest to some thinking anglers that far more is going on, perhaps on a more deeper level to do with the biology of the fish in response to bioactive garlic substances rather than just a smell or taste.

Perhaps you might begin to think maybe something other than just smell and taste was influential and impacting on the carp; maybe something more profound, internal and physiological, or even psychological… To help clarify this big point, I ate a wheat-free biscuit (and wheat-free doughnut today!) Comparing the ingredients with the wheat-containing versions, the only substitution was that the wheat-free foods were based on maize flour, tapioca starch, soya flour and rice flour. All the rest of the ingredients in the wheat-free products were the same as the conventional wheat-based biscuits and doughnuts, including the fruit flavours, sweeteners, acidity regulators, (preservatives) and enhancers etc.

What a disappointment it was to eat the wheat-free foods and not want more! Although they still have all the same ingredients like the flavours, sweeteners and enhancers etc, something vital was missing that made me want to keep on eating and this is why I only had one doughnut; Homer Simpson would have been shocked to say the least! There was no key vital substance in the food to make my brain release a rush of feel-good hormones that occurs naturally in the wheat-based foods.

Just imagine eating a food for years without that feel-good feeling after each morsel; making you want another one, and then eating one which does have this effect. Which one would you choose?! I don?t think you would have much choice; your brain will decide for you, and that is one reason why over-weight comfort food eaters who binge on cakes, biscuits, chocolate and many other foods, regularly can?t help themselves.

Many foods are made with substances that further impact on the brain to eat you to eat it more because it means the producers make more money and you actually get into a habit of eating it, and finding foods without such habit-inducing chemicals can be quite a hard thing to do if you try to rid your diet, body and brain to become free from their influence! Think tiger nuts or peanuts, now these are not exactly the most packed nutritional foods on the planet, but even though hemp is a super food in its own right, it too has substances with brain influencing impacts and practical consideration these aspects of bait ingredients, flavours etc can really get you the edge over fish, and other competing baits. You can term it using habit-forming or addictive substances to manipulate fish behaviours or just call it good use of what a bait should really be – i.e. addictive! The bait secrets ebooks author offering this has much more to reveal to those wanting better baits and bigger catches but this will certainly help you!

It might sound strange to imagine a fish as a tongue, but that is what they are in effect in water; and exploiting this fact is well proven to catch you a shocking amount of fish! Too many anglers think like anglers instead of seeing and sensing things from a fish perspective and this often is the difference between an average angler and a big-name one! It’s the substances leaching and dissolving into water from your baits that seriously impact on specialised taste and smell cells, (plus other senses) all over the external and internal surfaces of fish and realising that this is similar to taste buds on your tongue is something you can hugely exploit with bait to totally transform your catches…

Many anglers like to catch specimen carp and large catfish because of the great sport they provide, but the big ones are often far from easy to catch, but you can easily use specially adapted bait or nutritionally boosted ready made baits as a big lever! Both species have similar essential nutritional needs and physical structures and biology for instance to exploit in regards how they detect potential food sources and your baits! Catfish and carp have special cells in their skin all over the place in specific concentrations and adaptations that truly maximise their ability to find specific nutrients they need to survive; even down to 3 just 3 parts per million in the case of certain chemical molecules; so you might say fish are tongues that swim!

Humans tasting a bait substance is rather an exercise in personal taste and opinion as opposed to a scientific method of selection, as our senses have been severely dulled over the course of evolution and recent cultural revolutions such as that of farming; but some indigenous hunter tribes eyesight is perfect at 20 / 25! Another point is that specially evolved cells called receptor cells are found in various concentrations on the external and interior of fish. These have many various special adaptations.

Carp find many potential food substances including your baits by using cells adapted for the purpose which are extremely sensitive to essential substances especially, like various combinations of amino acids. The cells that detect very many substances are located externally in the facial skin, areas of the head and flanks, the lips, fins, in the nose, the barbels, in the mouth, throat and other lesser known significant areas too! The so-called receptor cells are very sensitive and so can detect oils in water not supposedly water soluble, however, even these are to a small degree and using lecithins with oils obviously improves their detectability and attraction!

Apart from cells involved in chemical detection in the water better known in olfaction and chemoreception, there are many others, such as the specialised lateral line pit cells. These continue from the tale, along the flanks and down around the eye and along the bottom of the jaw ending very near the mouth. These are so vital to Cyprindae fish for example, that the jaw of these fish is shaped to allow this distribution of nerves and sensory pit arrangements from millions of years ago in their evolution.

Over all carp possess an amazing radar array with nerves all combining in the brain for the fish to respond appropriately to, and this is where we can truly exploit all these systems together in our baits and fishing approaches and tactics etc together in our favour, to make them far easier to catch! Obviously the more you know about what you are hunting, the more you can exploit everything vital to them, and carp olfaction and chemoreception are prime examples to exploit! You might discover carp become more predictable when you think like one rather than like an angler; even sensing weather changing and air pressure changes; many top anglers develop extra sensitivity naturally by being outside so much and this can act like a sixth sense when casting into a swim, choosing swims and so on!

Carp and catfish have barbels; the highly sensitive projections around the mouth that in one role, help them find food and these have some of the highest densities of cells adapted for receiving chemical feedback from the water in solution. Your bait substances imbibe water or dissolve in water to form solutions. These substances have a highest concentration nearest their source and this gets weaker as you travel away from it.

Carp in part will locate your baits by tracking the strengthening concentrations of substances leaching from your baits as they get nearer their source in the water. Because fishing bait location and identification is related so much to fish olfaction and olfaction, covering the many essential and non-essential fish stimulatory substances and others in your baits really does exploit them and can make catching fish far easier! Many nutritionally balanced baits are great for getting fish into the habit of eating your baits on a regular basis too; and this can truly work in your favour and allow you to catch more fish despite perhaps many lacks in knowledge, skills or experience that an angler may have and these can be great equalisers and another reason I recommend homemade baits…

Carp and catfish senses are the key to manipulating their feeding and location behaviours in your favour and anglers who truly appreciate this often make catching great numbers of fish look easy and are able to certainly gain huge advantages over other anglers competing baits and their methods of application by constantly adapting with the fish! Many leading anglers truly appreciate how to leverage and adapt their baits because they know enough about exploiting carp senses and behaviour to do this and often to maximum effect, and it costs you very little to multiply your catches for life when you find (and utilise) the right information!

When you use carp bait blind without knowing how it works you are using blind faith. In contrast, if you understood far more how and why key aspects of that bait induced bites and had the power to manipulate these potent effect far more then your catches will definitely improve. Read on to find out more…

But why would you need to know anything about bait; maybe you catch your share, maybe you know a range of baits that have worked on your waters previously that you can turn to. Well if you know little about carp vital senses and how to manipulate them to induce more takes you are missing out; big-time and it’s like using putting back on the shelf a flavour with 10 times the potency of anther because the packaging is less flashy, and choosing another flavour that you like the smell of, never realising how much it lacks compared to the other flavour… For instance, many anglers just think flavours are solvent based or natural, or nature-identical and pretty much all the same, but the actual definition of flavours in fishing are extremely diverse and some flavours like chilli compounds even stimulate carp senses more powerfully than usual pulling fish to your swim from ranges many other flavours fail to.

Carp may be influenced far more profoundly by internal impacts on their bodies than a simple flavour or taste offers and many proteins are thermogenic involving extra releasing of energy, and salmon is a very successful example of this, but poultry too for instance, but bait ingredients and substances impact on the brain, some far more powerfully than others! I tried an experiment today by eating wheat-free biscuits and an wheat-free doughnut too! However, after even the first bite, even though ingredients were virtually the same as the wheat-containing biscuits and doughnuts (but for only one key aspect,) taking another bite was more of a pain than a pleasure. All those good sweeteners, taste-enhancers, fruit flavours etc should have made me want to eat more right, but they did not, because I had got used to expecting something else to happen that did not; a release of feel-good hormones in the brain…

On eating the wheat-free foods I did not want to keep eating them and certainly Homer Simpson would have a shock if his doughnuts were wheat-free as there is something internally potent missing in them! Beyond all the flavours, sweeteners, enhancers and other goodies already added to those biscuits and doughnut (I say doughnut as I could only eat one,) something vital was missing. That missing substance that in wheat for example causes the release of feel-good hormones in the wheat-free foods was gone, and I really missed it!

If you ate food frequently that tasted and smelled good but had no further incentive to keep you eating more of it, you will more than likely eat something else in preference if that food does has an extra feel-good brain chemical releasing impact. The bait or food which creates more pleasure is preferential in humans and it is the same in fish! You brain chemicals are directing your actions on a basic level and when it comes to the impact of a key part of wheat, your actions as a result of eating it can very easily be to eat more; more cake, toast, biscuits, doughnuts etc, this is one vital reason people so easily over-eat these foods and create behavioural cyclic eating problems!

In fact many of the same ingredients are in so many foods that in bulk are definitely harmful to the body, but induce people to buy them. Any carp angler knows that tiger nuts and peanuts for instance also have substances that also lead to this type of behaviour. Whether you term this induced habit-forming or addictive behaviour, it is just as profoundly significant, applicable and powerful when it comes to getting a bait edge over your carp and over other competing baits… This fishing bait secrets ebooks author has many more fishing and bait edges – just one might well impact very significantly on your big fish catches!

These days looking for cheap but well proven alternative big fish protein baits is very important and homemade sausage meat baits and ground baits are brilliant baits for so many reasons. Luncheon meats and Pepperoni are popular and effective but extremely expensive as fishing baits. So let’s now see how to make your own big fish sausage meat baits and save yourself a fortune!

Using sausage meat is rather more ethical than basing your baits on very valuable marine resources, but you can use it to bulk-up certain fish or shellfish bait mixes to cut costs and create different nutritional profiles, tastes effects etc. you can easily get sausage meat fresh or frozen fresh and fresh is best although catfish are also renowned for loving baits just souring, but I would prefer to use this effect with blood based baits for instance and not pork. Often the biggest fish in your water will take a new safe bait pretty quickly and certainly sausage meat based baits are not trendy so can really give you many competitive edges!

You can use the minced products or use a mincer to make a sticky pliable material to use to base you bait on. Pork meat is very nutritionally stimulating to big catfish and carp, supplying many essential nutritional needs including many amino acids and energy packed oils. Sausage meat may be made from pork alone or with other materials, but even adding very cheap wheat flour, or with a few eggs to meat with sausage rusk will bind bait to make practical bait dough for paste or boilies.

Making one of the cheapest protein based homemade baits is simple, fast and very easy to do:

For example, using half a pound of minced sausage meat, mix it in a bowl with about 3 to 4 large hens eggs and around 2 table spoons of ordinary cheap wheat flour (or more if required) and kneed this into a stiff pliable dough. This can be used as fishing bait immediately as paste, or you can bag it up in bags with a tie to make the bag air tight and store in the fridge or freeze it for use next session. This bait is pretty much instant on most carp and catfish waters even though various meat brands and grades may very results and although very basic and simple will produce lots of fish.

Like the majority of carp and catfish baits, the best way to start fishing with it is to feed perhaps 2 to 6 pounds or more of it into your swim, in advance. (This is certainly not absolutely necessary however!) You might for instance, over a period of 3 days prior to fishing, start introducing paste pieces about an inch in diameter just by pulling them off your balls of dough you have made.

Introducing safe free baits is never a wasted exercise and in fact this is one of the most powerful methods of achieving big fish catches anyway. Many easy ground baits can be made from sausage meat too. Using paste on the hair or direct on the hook has been catching big carp and catfish for decades, and now is a great time to try it! Paste bait is really effective but if smaller fish are troublesome simply scald or par-boil your baits to make them more resistant and use paste on your rig too!

You might make your boilies from small half inch odd shaped pieces and these odd baits will have a competitive edge over all those expensive uniformly shaped machine-rolled baits! Just get a half pan of water boiling and add a handful of baits at a time usually for about 2 minutes on average before removing them. Use handy towels or papers (or special drying trays from Gardener tackle) to dry your baits and remember to keep your water boiling at all times.

Boil your baits for anything from a minute to 5 minutes; the longer boiling makes them harder, but this loses more attraction in the process. To help attraction there are so many choices to add to your bait, or just to keep results coming. For instance you could add sea salt at about a teaspoon per 2 eggs worth of bait mixed, or add curry powder at a heaped teaspoonful per egg used in the mix or more depending on the form of curry powder used.

As sausage meat is a fatty, oily bait, incorporating additives and ingredients and flavours to boost digestion and fish metabolism is a very good idea indeed. You might simply add spice and herb powders, any of a range of essential oils and extracts, or boost attraction with parmesan or blue cheese powder and added garlic granules or seaweed granules etc. Adding some liquid amino acids supplements is always useful in boosting nutritional attraction and this can be made at home very easily although it’s not for this piece. For colder weather you might add liquid lecithins and add oat or wheat bran which improve digestion, liver function and the vascular system of fish being rich in the feeding trigger, betaine!

You can add almost anything to enhance the stimulatory effects of your sausage baits but it helps if you really know what your ingredients do inside your fish and how they work together in baits to contribute the overall effects and improve catch results, and this knowledge really does save you a fortune and boost your confidence hugely! There are many ingredients etc you might add to stimulate fish which may be very expensive over a season, but going to the supermarket, health food shop, Asian store etc can provide really potent gems for a fraction of the cost when you know what to look for in terms of bioactive substances especially… Even adding liquidised liver with a few drops of spice or herb oleoresins and liquid lecithins can make drastic differences to results for relatively little cost and your baits will always be unique of course which a big edge anyway!

Fishing baits which are based on substances that trigger fish feeding and fish metabolism among many other things are well recommended, but you need to get to know the details of this to exploit them most cost effectively, but remember the advantages of using a popular commercial bait is lessened by far when fishing against more experienced, talented, full-time moneyed (or bait sponsored) anglers! Homemade baits like those based on very cheap sausage meat work against those highly hyped baits that cost a fortune (even if they are enzyme active etc,) and will catch you lots of big carp and catfish: fact. Obviously the more you get to know about bait the more edges you can have which save you a fortune and keep producing better than average catch results, and cheap baits are not necessarily crap baits; but the complete opposite so keep reading!

Arizona residents or visitors who may only be pondering the idea of buying Arizona land for sale, can enjoy their boating excursions beyond measure by knowing boating safety laws by taking classes to ensure you really know and understand boating a personal watercraft safety.

Guidelines and laws prepared for boating safety were put in place are meant to reduce the number of smashes and to keep all boaters cognizant of eventual dangers when they are on the water. Arizona’s boating safety tips residents or visitors include:

Watercraft safety laws dictate that boats must have enough flotation devices for everyone in the boat, even if they aren’t wearing them. Children must wear lifejackets at all times while in a boat.

Understanding the basics of anchoring and tying knots are an important part of watercraft safety.

Having a firm grasp of oil and waste disposal guidelines and how to trailer the boat will also help to keep you and other boaters safe.

If you’re considering buying Arizona land for sale that’s near water, it’s important to be prepared. Boating safety curriculums teach boaters the law and ways to circumvent adversity on the water. Watercraft safety programs teach boaters the fundamentals about keeping safe when on the water:

State boating agencies, the U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Power Squad, along with many other groups offer boating safety classes.

Watercraft safety classes offer students information on all aspects of safety, including handling the boat, interpreting the weather and learning about situations to steer away from and to avoid.

If you are not clear on where to find safe boating classes but want to acquire Arizona land for sale, check with the Arizona Game & Fish Department. They will offer these classroom watercraft safety classes while just how to take classes online.

Boating safety classes can often result in an insurance discount. Check with your insurance company for more details before you register for a class.

Adults can take a swimming course as a review or attend classes with their children. Swimming classes are always a good idea for kids. It is always best that children know how to swim when out on the water even though they must wear a safety floatation device.

Personal watercraft (PWC) safety guidelines are particular to the usefulness of the people with a PWC. It is very common to own a PWC and if you buy Arizona land for sale you can put your PWC away there on the recreational property for future use. Comprehending PWC safety guidelines will help keep everyone safe while on the water. Here are some of the guidelines:

12 is the minimum age to be able to operate a PWC in Arizona, however many insurance companies do not even provide coverage for operators under the age of 16. So it is very important to ask your personal insurance company for details on the subject.

When using a PWC in Arizona, every operator is required to wear a flotation device. Lanyards attached to ignition switches must be attached to the driver, their lifejacket or to their person.

It is illegal – and very unsafe – to operate a personal watercraft after dark in Arizona.

Safety guidelines for PWC include giving other boaters and PWC operators a wide berth and operating the PWC defensively.

If you let someone borrow your personal watercraft, give them some basic safety tips. It only takes a few minutes to explain safety guidelines to a friend.

I hope all these tips have helped you in some way to start thinking more about safety while boating, and maybe prompt you to call and sign up for swimming lessons with your child or take a regulated safe boating course.

You pay a fortune on bait hoping to catch lots of big fish and yet the average carp angler is just that – average, because he catches no more fish than the rest. This literally means something he is doing or thinking approach just is not working. Most anglers simply throw money in the bin in bait costs etc because they have missed something so very vital to success!

Anglers who fish for big carp or big catfish use a range of bought baits from pellets and boilies, to maize, hemp, meats, fish, maize and many proprietary ground baits etc, to bait their swim, which all cost a lot of money through the year. Much of this bait gets eaten with no benefit to the angler at all while he sits fishless! This phenomenon occurs very frequently and anglers would be shocked at their money going literally to waste as a result of missing something which can convert this bait into fish.

After all, why bother putting free baits into a fishery when most of it ends up just feeding the fish and not translating into your catch results? One definition of insanity is to expecting different results from doing the same old things… Carp especially are extremely expert at keeping ahead of our angling activities, commonly-used baits, methods and in detecting your hook baits of course!

Even hard-fished for big catfish as well as carp can become particularly unresponsive to popular baits and techniques even though they may have been so successful previously! So how do you save all this wasted money on bait used in free baiting and actually improve your catches by converting your baiting into more fish, consistently; because that is the big issue here! You see it is not just bait costs which mount up through the year, but all the associated but increasing costs of fishing; like time not earning, travelling costs, food and drink money, fishing memberships or tickets, the huge regular costs of replacing all those fishing tackle bits etc!

In economically uncertain times, making the most of your money in terms of leveraging your fishing bait costs best, is generally far more important to everyone, (except the more fortunate minority.) This is maybe less of a problem where fishing is very easy and everyone seems to catch no matter what the level of their angling ability, experience or bait quality and so on but this refers to waters where fish react far more cautiously towards to fishing baits, rigs and so on. It seems to me that judging your results success by the average catches on such a water is not accurate at all; after all, how does any individual know what is truly able to be achieved?

It is the common habit of the average angler to put out free baits upon arrival at a fishery without too much thought about his or previous anglers impacts at any one moment in time, where fish may not actually feed confidently on baits that are fresh as they are associated with danger. The first few days and nights on many waters can just be largely a waste of time if fished conventionally. On harder waters it is most often the case that fish will shy away from fresh baits, preferring to feed on them when water has penetrated and leached them for a number of days and nights.

On very pressured fisheries, Mr average angler will bait-up upon arriving and perhaps fish for 48 hours, maybe blank, and then be followed into the swim by another angler who simply does the same things with the same thinking approaches, and gets the same poor catches as a result! This is a pattern that is prevalent on so many carp waters today and the conveyor-belt like manifestation of the straight-jacketed thinking the majority of average anglers seem satisfied with. Yes, occasionally the fortunate angler who happens to be in a previously such pre-baited swim with get good results and hence the appearance of so many so-called popular swims! But all this incessant baiting on many water in certain swims can backfire as fish respond to captures, and in such a case all the bait can go off and kill the swim (as Mr average carp angler arrives and baits up again , adding to the problem!)

Our angling behaviours can become simply habitual processes, where the thought of what has worked in the past must still work today dominates. But I tend to find each day is a different day and fish behaviour is dynamic constantly changing and adapting and what worked so well yesterday is the very thing the fish are so keenly wary of today!

I am lucky enough to have caught a rare very pale white 38 pound carp that had not been caught in over 7 years, from one UK water. In this instance it took the regular very unusually light style and frequency of baiting a swim, with a totally new bait to that water and for a week long period, that scored (and this big fish was followed by many more as a result.)

Using new attractant substances and feeding triggers combinations in a new baiting design, teamed with innovative bait application methods which rarely if ever have been exploited on your water before, will obviously give you great results compared to just going through the motions again and again! With a little thought you can always find something in your approach that is new and different on any water, that reaps you far greater catch results than otherwise would be achieved. This can mean literally anything!

By fully considering the implications of your fishing activities on fish, in terms of negative and positive impacts on their senses, in relation to the progressive conditioning by angling activities and baits and natural senses and behavioural sensitivities, you can unlock excellent results. The questions and answers may be common to all waters, but there will always be things unique in your fishing of any particular water that produces better results; being refined specifically for that exact moment in time on that water. By leveraging your more exacting angling solutions at any moment in time on a water, you can know for sure that your bait costs will be leveraged to far greater effect and this avoids so much of that bait wastage that simply going through the motions produces!

12a It is true that to maximise the power and costs of your baits takes some thought, but a little effort can save you literally a fortune in wasted costs. So next time you arrive at your water and proceed to bait up as usual, you might stop mid-flow and take time to consider the many other solutions that are staring you in the face which you might presently be blind to but for a little extra thought; after all, the solutions that will be thought of in 10 years are available right now… This bait secrets books author has many more valuable fascinating insights and bait secrets to share but you need to look for them if they are to improve your own catches!

Trying to land that big trophy bass? You’ll need five percent luck and ninety five percent smarts. You’ve got a lot to learn before you can fish for bass, including where to locate them and how to handle their habitat.

Many pro and recreational anglers expect to hook a bass as soon as they drop their lines into a new body of water. They wonder why the bass aren’t striking, even though they haven’t taken the time to familiarize themselves with the water, above and below the surface.

There’s no luck involved in locating the best bass fishing spots. It really is a science, and you’ll need to do some homework. Understand the water, the climate and the season.

There are several important factors to keep in mind while searching for those sweet spots swimming with hungry bass:

1. Your fishing expedition will naturally be affected by seasonal patterns. Know the patterns of the bass; where they go after spawning, and how they migrate throughout the season. Be a responsible angler and respect your seasonal limits. Government resource ministries protect the species by setting bass season in accordance with natural spawning patterns.

2. Understand the seasons. Weather conditions are particularly important for successful bass fishing. Bass are most active just after cold fronts and during early spring and late fall periods. Know where to fish, and when to fish.

3. Deep or shallow water? It depends on the type of bass you’re fishing. Some species prefer deep, cold water, while others thrive in shallow, weedy areas. Know the habits of the fish you’re hoping to hook, and determine the water depth. Lakebed materials, natural cover and weed beds should be taken into account. Some types of bass are found in shallow water, but only when there is sufficient natural cover. Fish will not stay in shallow, unprotected water on a hot, sunny day. They type of bait or lure you choose will also depend on the depth of the water.

4. Fish love clear water, so avoid murky, swampy areas. Everyone prefers clean water; particularly fish that need to live and breathe in it.

5. Know the water temperature. If the water is too cold (below 50 degrees Fahrenheit) the natural food chain will be affected. On the other hand, if it’s too warm, the fish just won’t bite.

6. Find sunken treasure. Bass love to seek shelter among submerged branches and structures. Look for trees that have fallen into the water, old building foundations and even boat docks. Some bass species love to hide out in rock beds and under ledges, so try those areas as well. If you can find a structure hidden beneath the surface of the water, you’ll like be able to lure out a big bass.

7. Don’t forget the greens. As natural predators, bass will naturally stay close to their prey. Frogs, insects and other bass treats live among weed beds, so of course, bass will be there as well. Use a plug or similar weedless lure, or try live bait when fishing weed beds. Anchor your boat nearby, and cast alongside the edge of the weed bed. The right piece of tackle will “lure” the bass right into your boat.

8. Mind your map. You won’t find the bass in the lake if you can’t find the lake on a map. If you’re fishing foreign territory, the ability to read a map is crucial to your bass fishing success. Sometimes, local tackle shops will have maps available with prime fishing spots marked right on them. Hot spot and topographical maps are two popular choices for anglers. Hot spot maps are made to show anglers where fish can be found, but the natural migration trends prevent accuracy. Topographical maps show the lakes in more detail, with rocks, water depth and other features clearly shown.

The key to using a map correctly is in knowing how to sector the map. Take the map and study it carefully, looking for areas where fish are most likely to be found. Use a colored pen or highlighter to divide the map into sections. Experienced anglers can use the sections to determine where they will fish, dependant on the amount of time they have to spend. The size of the sections will vary depending on structures, contours and how many areas you want to try. Once you choose your spot, don’t give up on it too quickly.

A consistent bass angler knows that success depends on more than simply dropping anchor and casting the line. That’s why competitive bass tournaments are so exciting. Try to think like a bass, and look for the spots that other anglers might have missed.

Always remember those important factors in finding sweet spots for bass:

* Look for weed beds and other vegetation

* Fish shallow water adjacent to deeper spots

* Seek shoreline and lakebed contours

* Shore points and point drops

* Human-made and natural structures

The key to locating bass is your understanding of the water. If you find a spot that you think is prime for bass, be patient. Bass can be stubborn and slow to strike, and it can take a lot of repetitive action to lure them out of hiding. Try several techniques and different types of bait. Before long, you’ll establish a working pattern and land that big bass.

In the United States of America the boating industry is a big, big marketplace and it covers all aspects of boating such as fishing boats right up to yachts. Whether you own a dingy or a yacht at some point in time you are going to have to think about caring for your boat and boat care is a massive business all of its own.

Most folk desire to keep their pride and joy looking, that’s a fact. But what do we mean when we talk about boat care? Well it can be anything from waxing the hull to filling in major scrapes. Boat care is a primary issue in the overall scheme of things and it’s nearly as important as knowing how to navigate one!

If you don’t care for your boat it can let you down in the most disastrous of situations such as the middle of the ocean 100 miles from shore.

Let’s start our journey by discussing boat waxes and cleaners that you can get from your retailer today. First and foremost it’s important to choose the best cleaner for your boat type and the storage conditions it will be kept under. You will require different products if you own a saltwater boat to a freshwater boat

This will enable your boat to be more easily ready for use when the time is right to take the boat out again.

The Products For Boat Care.

You, as a consumer, must do some level of research in order to obtain the best product for your boat as there are many available. Obtaining a decent soap is the primary concern for you.

If a good soap is used it will remove all the dirt from your boat but leave the protective wax coating on the hull.

Your cleaning kit should have, at a minimum, a good spray cleaner that can remove from the surface of your boat all manner of things such as fish blood, bird droppings and grease.

If you fail to get these type of stains off it could damage your boat in the longer term. Another helpful cleaning and protectiuve product is a good wax. It helps protect the surface of your craft and keeps the natural color.

Saltwater boats can experience build up and corrosion of their paint. Freshwater boats experience mold from the algae and slime found in lake water. These are just a few of the products needed for proper boat care. A good rule of thumb is to always research which products are right for your particular boat.

The kids are excited to spend the day out on the boat. You’ve just unpacked everything from the car and are ready to put it all on the boat. This is going to be a beautiful afternoon out on the water. As you prepare to cast off you open the cabin and are suddenly overwhelmed by a foul stench. The smell is more than anyone can stand. Everyone is upset, as the planned voyage has to be cancelled.

This unfortunate situation could have been prevented. There are several products on the market that could have been effective in this situation. But are thy Green? Are these products safe for use in a small contained area, or would the toxic chemicals themselves be harmful to you and your family?

It is important that boaters use products that are non-toxic and safe. There is clearly a “green revolution” taking place in America. Everyone is trying to do their part to create a safer, less polluted environment. The boating community is no exception.

With eco-friendly “Green” EPA approved products you can clean and disinfect, deodorize and kill mold and mildew with just one product. Safe enough to drink but strong enough to kill 99.9% of all bacteria. If these products are accidentally spilled into the water they will do no harm to the eco-system.

You can safely protect yourself, your family, and your boat from mold and mildew using a Green product. What boat doesn’t have some mold or mildew issues?

Another problem area is cooking odors. While on board most of us use a common air-freshener to handle foul odors. However most of these are in fact dangerous, as the give off harmful VOC’s. In a small cabin area this could have long term effects on you and your family. A Green odor eliminator has no toxic chemicals, and will give off no harmful VOC’s

You want to be prepared for situations like the one at the beginning of this article. It is necessary to have something on board before it is needed. And you want this product to be safe, not only for you and your family, but for pets and around food. Don’t choose a product that is not safe. Look at the label for product warnings and ingrediants. Remember, most products that have a scent contain harmful chemicals. Green products should be odorless and safe. Keep in mind “Clean has no Odor
