This historical city has over 3000 years of history within it’s border. It has been the capital for 13 dynasties and 73 emperors, including the Tang Dynasty. Xian travel is a fantastic destination for your holiday, especially for those wanting something more usual in an exotic location.

You can find cheap flights online and through a travel agent. If you are planning a trip and have several months, then plan early and use discounts to make the trip affordable. On the other hand, you can also choose to make last minute plans and take advantage of canceled trips and get a discount if you are willing to do it that way. You should also look into travel packages, which often includes hotels, since this can save you money as well.

Whatever method you choose, remember to pay for it on a credit card and no one issued from your bank as a debit card. This way, you can protect yourself if the holiday gets canceled or is not delivered, and you will have a much easier time of getting it back with the buyer protection plan the credit cards offer.

The attractions are listed as either inside or outside the City Wall. This is one of the easiest ways to determine if you can walk to them or if you need to catch one of the many buses in this area to see them. They can all be easily planned whatever you choose to see.

You should spend some time at the City Wall itself. You can rent a bicycle and ride across the wall itself, as long as the weather is good, or you can spend some time walking along it. At night, the wall is lit and makes for a unique experience to stroll. The outside of the wall has landscaped gardens and a moat, which makes this very scenic as well. At the Hanguang Gate, there is a small staircase from the top of the wall that leads down to a museum, which give you a glimpse of the life on the wall, and is interesting to see.

Inside the City Wall, you can also see the Forest of Steles, which is a collection of 2300 stone tablets depicting the history of China. Included in these is the Nestorian Stele, which transcribes the coming of Christianity to China, and is one of the most looked for tablets here.

Outside of the City Wall, you can take a small trip to see one of China’s sacred mountains. The Hua Mountain has stairs that you can climb to the top, and it has been widely photographed. This famous mountain offers a large waterfall and many natural places of beauty which makes it a serene trip.

The most famous of all Chinese attractions is in Xian, and it is the Army of Terracotta Warriors and Horses. The on site museum is over 20K square feet and features 100 vehicles, about 8000 figures and 30K weapons. Once a tomb, you can walk through and see the detail of the figures, in what is called the “8th Wonder of the World” and a 1987 World Culture Heritage Site, an award given tot hem by UNSECO.

Xian travel lets you see some of the most unusual and beautiful places in the world. This holiday will let you experience history and wonders that will give you memories to last forever.

Xian Travel Service is highly regarded in the China Travel industry.

If one wants to take a vacation that will be memorable for a lifetime, China is one of the most popular sites today. Open and welcoming, they offer much in the way of oriental elegance and history which inspires many. With the oldest recorded history in the world, the city of Xian provides a unique look into China’s early years and the ten dynasties which ruled for 1,100 years. With the right Xian Apartment Accommodation, the most frequented sites in the area are easily accessible and ensure family needs are met during down time.

Xian is located only 43km from a large international airport. The city itself is walled and there are only four main streets named, aptly, North, South, East, and West so navigating is much easier than in many other larger cities. Although sometimes accommodations are tucked away on side streets in order to ensure peace and tranquility during the stay, many are within a stones throw of center city activities and the best restaurants in order to ensure that visitors have the chance to maximize opportunities during their visit.

The plethora of activities within an easy walk will keep any traveler amused for weeks. Whether walking along the 17m wall or visiting the many museums, before long one realizes why this area is known as the “cradle of Chinese civilization.” As a living history book, it is easy to understand why at one time it was known as “the eternal city.” Additionally, it is the eastern portal to the Silk Road making it an international hub for the exchange of goods resulting in many bargains for visitors.

As the home of numerous dynasties beginning in 221 BC, Xian is also home to the 8th Wonder of the World, the 8,000 life-size Terracotta Soldiers who continue to stand guard over the remains of the first emperor of China. Hand carved in the form of archers, foot soldiers, horsemen, and charioteers their unique design and coloring denote the care with which they were created. Additionally, their horses, which were carved to perfection, make one feel as if they are amongst an army ready to battle in order to ensure their leaders arrival in the great beyond.

One key to enjoying this exciting area is to find the right lodging which is reflective of the best that China has to offer yet is up-to-date and high tech. Fortunately, apartments offer many amenities not available in hotels such as kitchenettes, as well as the high tech equipment needed to ensure that one remains connected to the world. Additionally, some ever offer the use of cell phones in order to stay in touch with management should one become confused as how to get back to where they are staying.

For those who are adventurous at heart, don’t let Xian’s tranquil nature fool you. A mere 75 miles (120 km) from the city center lies the Hua Mountains, also known as the flower mountains, boasts the most challenging terrain in the world frequented by hikers. Not only magnificent to view, it also includes dirt paths, stone stairways, and foot-wide plank walkways and ladders attached to sheer cliffs. For those who want to enjoy the site, but who do not have the ability to traverse the challenging terrain, however, a cable car also runs up the mountain reaching the lowest viewing level at Cloud Terrace Peak so all can enjoy the experience. It is here where the Jade Spring Temple is located along with the Long Corridor of 72-Windows and serves as the portal to the most challenging experience beginning with the 370 step rocks which is considered to give the most breath-taking view of Mt. Huashan.

For those with the stamina to endure the 4 to 6 hour traverse up Lotus Peak on Mt. Huashan, one can catch a gondola which will take visitors across the deep valley to the highest viewing point on the mountain at Landing Wild Goose Peak where, if climbing during the night, visitors can catch a view of the sunrise that will take the breath away. However, even if just going to viewing from the base, it is well worth the trip.

A travel to any new country is full of wonder and memorable experiences, but only in China can live history and become part of a new culture so quickly. It all begins, however, with ensuring the perfect lodgings are waiting and the best available are found in a Xian Apartment Accommodation which only serves to enhance the experience.

With the correct Xian Apartments and Xian Guesthouse accommodation, one can be sure that they not only have access to a largest variety of cultural activities, but is centered amongst the most exciting action. We have got the best inside scoop!

by David Cheng

Beijing has been a focal point for China’s most important religious observances since it become the country’s capital in 1420. Of all the temples built to worship the mighty forces in nature, the Temple of Heaven in southern Beijing is easily the most significant one.

Running an empire that held the worlds largest population, the Chinese emperors couldn’t just rely on intimidation and an effective government. They had to rule by legitimacy from Heaven.

As you enter this tremendous temple, a mysterious world once closed off from the average person is now ready to show all its mystery.

The Hall of Abstinence is on the west side. The emperor used this area to prepare himself for the prayers to Heaven. He would keep himself away from alcohol, meat, garlic, onions, and sexual relations. The hall was kept simple, for a luxury-loving emperor wouldn’t be favored by Heaven.

Standing opposite to this, on the east side, are the Animal Slaughtering Hall and the Divine Kitchen. Cattle, sheep, pigs, and other sacrificial animals were slaughtered and prepared for the ceremonies here. Almost 50 workers would have to work for quite a few days before they could get the job done.

In the hall of Divine Music Administration, imperial orchestras would practice their compositions all day and night. When the ceremonies began, no mistake was tolerated.

Visiting this hall, you are amazed by the antique instruments. Every two hours, a mock performance is staged.

The Circular Altar, standing at the center of the temple, is the most important structure in the Temple of Heaven. A radial terrace, the altar was built for the emperor to worship Heaven. Dont skip your photo opportunity here, as in ancient China this was believed to be the center of the universe.

And this was where the emperor would bow on his knees to take vows and confirm his legitimacy to rule China. A Chinese philosopher once wrote:If the ruler is right, then the creative energy of the universe will be harmonious and compliant. The rain and wind will be timely. Auspicious stars will appear, and then, the yellow dragon will descend.

Now with the mandate from Heaven, the emperor is able to legitimately rule China.
