When it comes to ski holidays in Austria there are a wide variety to choose from for all levels of skiers. Certainly as you will soon discover there are numerous who now offer ski holiday packages specifically designed for those who are just learning this sport. However these tend to be more expensive that booking directly with the owner of a holiday home.

Along with providing you with the equipment, including boots and skis they also ensure that they provide good quality instruction and the passes you will need to gain access to the slopes.

Most of the companies that offer such lessons also make sure that they are situated at resorts where the slopes are perfect when just starting out. Along with Austria there are plenty of other places around Europe that offer good quality skiing facilities, include France, Italy, Andorra, Bulgaria and Switzerland.

Ideally, when you choose to take a skiing holiday in Austria and are trying the sport for the first time the best time of year to visit is between January and March. This is because that you will find that the slopes are far less crowded, which provides you with more space to actually work on your skiing, plus the instructors will be able to dedicate more time to you also.

The other big benefit to be gained from going to such resorts during the low season is the cost. As you will soon discover the price of these packages is far less than you would normally expect to pay at the height of the skiing season.

When you are trying to choose which resort you should actually select for your first skiing holiday in Austria there are several factors, which need to be considered. One of the first things you should be looking at is the kind of ski school that the resort has, certainly one with a good reputation is ideal. Also, look for those resorts that do not charge excessively for you to use their lifts in order to reach the slopes during your stay.

It is important that the resort you select not only comes with several good nursery slopes, but also slopes which are ideally suited to you to be able to progress to as your skiing improves. Certainly, look for those resorts that have several blue ski runs, as these are perfectly suited to those who have no or little skiing experience.

As you will soon discover when it comes to ski holidays in Austria and you wanting to learn the sport there are plenty of resorts to choose from. Along with Ellmau, Seefeld, Soll, Mayrhofen there is Kitzbuhel as well and all of which provide the right kinds of facilities for first time skiers. But by keeping in mind, the above factors you should be able to find the perfect skiing holiday for you.
