The Chichn Itz located at Mexico is a Mayan temple that reflects the ancient culture, economy and politics of the Mayan civilization. Much people are surprised on how well the temple was structured given that Mayans only have crude tools and materials back then. This structure is one of the last Mayan temples to be built and also one of the best preserved. It’s a historic treasure for the Mexican people.

The Machu Picchu in Peru is a city built in the 15th century on the orders of Incan Emperor Pachactec. It was built on the mountain called Machu Picchu. Machu Picchu is one of the most recognizable marks of the Inca Empire and is commonly referred to as The Lost City of the Incas. You can get up there by taking a four day hike up the very popular Inca Trail which offers beautiful views of the surroundings.

These places are also marvels of engineering. How did ancient cultures, with such primitive tools, manage to make things like Stonehenge or the Pyramids. We often can’t do many of these things today.
