Finding Glasgow Flights

There are two main Glasgow airports and you can reach many destinations when traveling on a Glasgow flight. The Glasgow International Airport (GLA) and Glasgow Prestwick Airport (PIK) both offer flights to many destinations, mainly in Europe. The main difference is that Glasgow International is about 10 miles from the city center and Glasgow Prestwick is further, about 30 miles from the city center.
You will depart or stop over in Glasgow International if you are traveling to the Scottish Highlands and Islands. It is the main access point for these destinations. Glasgow International offer more domestic flights than Glasgow Prestwick but you can get some great deals if you fly out of Glasgow Prestwick. You can find a domestic flight to most UK cities. BMI/BMI Baby, Easyjet, Loganair, British Airways, and Flybe all use Glasgow airports.
Glasgow airport also offers many flights to Europe that depart from both the International and Prestwick airports. There are inexpensive flights available to Amsterdam, Poland and Berlin. Ryanair offers many discount fares if you are willing to depart from Glasgow Prestwick airport.
There are a few flights that offer travel to Ireland. There is one route offered from Air Lingus that flies to Dublin. Ryan air offers many flights to various areas of Ireland departing from Glasgow Prestwick. Easyjet and Flybe offer flights to Belfast. There are also regular flights to Londonderry from Glasgow International flown by Loganair airlines.
There are many long-haul destinations that leave from Glasgow International or that have a stop over/connection in Glasgow. There are many North American city destinations that have direct flights; Chicago, Toronto, Philadelphia, Boston, New York and daily flights to Orlando, Florida. You can also find direct flights to Dubai, Lahore and other Asian cities.
You can also charter a flight if you cannot find a flight to your specific destination. There are companies at Glasgow International that run charter flights to Mexico, the Caribbean and North Africa. You will be able to travel to any destination in the world as well as from any destination through Any of the Glasgow airports.
