Holidays to Alcudia make an ideal choice if you want to get away from the busier and noisier resorts of the island of Majorca. Here you will be able to find something that is more ideally suited to family holidays yet still has something to offer everyone.
Located on the island of Majorca, Alcudia is not difficult to get too, being only ninety minutes away from the airport. Activities to take part in there include a number of water sports activities such as scuba diving and snorkelling, banana boat riding and various other things for the more adventurous amongst you.
If you prefer to experience some of the local culture, then Alcudia is also a great resort to go to. Originally built by an old fishing village, the old town of Alcudia is an ancient Roman town about three kilometres from the resort itself. Definitely worth a visit, it is a particularly charming place.
The area also hosts a traditional weekly market and there are plenty of other activities there. With lots of accommodation options, you should also have no shortage of restaurants and bars with something to suit every taste. The beach is one of the nicest and longest in the island and is sheltered by the Bay of Alcudia.
Finding holidays to Alcudia is not difficult since there is quite a lot of competition and many all inclusive package tours are operated. The Internet is a great place to start looking and you should have no difficulty in finding some great last minute deals and if you want to avoid the crowds and save a little bit more money, you can go a little bit out of season.
