Do amazing sandy beaches, exciting and exotic night-life, friendly local people, tasty food and interesting culture sound good to you? Well if they do, then for your next holiday, you would be advised to visit the wonderful country of Thailand. It’s no exaggeration to say that Thailand is probably the world’s most exotic, exciting and unpredictable holiday destination.

The bustling and steamy capital, Bangkok may very well be your first port of call and it does not disappoint. It may be a hedonist’s playground, but there’s also something here for the culture vultures too, from fascinating ruins to beautiful temples and historic architecture. It can be overwhelming at first, but keep your wits about you and after a day or so, the excitement of the place will be sure to grab you.

From March to June, the country’s climate is hot and humid, so if travelling at this time, please dress to suit. You may be well advised to simply sit it out on one of the many golden beaches. Another time of the year to take note of, weather wise is September, which is monsoon season. It may be best to avoid this month altogether as the rain can be quite unlike anything you will have experienced before.

One of the best features of Thailand is that the people are extremely tolerant and especially friendly to visitors from overseas. The food is also excellent and the smells when walking down a Bangkok street at night are sure to make your mouth water, indeed you can buy an extremely tasty and fragrant meal for very little in a restaurant in Thailand.

Thailand’s beaches are some of the most beautiful in the world and picture postcard views are afforded from them. Water sports are available in abundance with everything from scuba diving to jet-skiing to kayaking well catered for. A special treat for lovers of marine wildlife would be the special trips to the many remote reefs and islands scattered throughout the land. Indeed, ‘James Bond Island’ is even here, made famous from its appearance in ‘The Man with the Golden Gun’. Although I doubt you’ll catch a glimpse of Bond himself!

Last but not least, Thailand’s nightlife is truly legendary and not for the faint-hearted. If that’s the sort of thing you are after, then believe me, it’s all here waiting for you. It really is as outrageous and off-the-wall as everyone says it is – and more so.

So, in summary, Thailand holidays to me stand for; beautiful sandy beaches, exciting night-life, a fantastic climate, friendly locals and tasty food. If this sounds good to you, then get on that plane today!
